Account and privacy
Your account and sign-in methods
Your Polaris Locker account holds your profile and the ways you sign in. Open the account menu and select Account. To leave this browser, select Sign out at the top of the page.
Profile
Section titled “Profile”Select Edit profile to change your Screen name and Picture. They show in Locker, and in an app once you agree to share them. A birth date is optional. It stays private to you: apps never receive it.
Sign-in methods
Section titled “Sign-in methods”You need at least one sign-in method.
- Add an email sends a 6-digit code to check the address is yours. Licenses bought with a verified email can join your library.
- Connect adds Apple, Google or Steam, when the page offers them.
- Add a passkey adds a passkey. See Use a passkey.
- Remove or Disconnect takes a method away. The last method can’t be removed.
Adding or removing a method asks you to Confirm it’s you first. See Sign in to Polaris Locker. Each change is recorded, and Locker emails every verified address on your account. To add a method again, use the same steps. If you didn’t make a change, read Secure your account.
Where you’re signed in
Section titled “Where you’re signed in”This lists the browsers signed in to your account. Yours is marked This browser. Select Sign out next to another browser to end it. Sign out everywhere ends every browser, this one included, and signs you out of apps you signed in to with Locker. Devices that use a license are on each app’s page in your library.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”Choose a Theme: Match device, Dark or Light. Choose Motion: Match device or Reduced, which turns animation off. Your choices apply in this browser only.
Your data
Section titled “Your data”Download my data saves your whole account as one file. Delete account… schedules your account to be erased after 14 days, and you can cancel before then. Read Delete your account first. For what apps and Locker hold about you, read Your data and privacy.
Still need help?
Section titled “Still need help?”- If you bought an app with a different email, read Bought with a different email or on Steam?.
- For anything else, read Get help with an app.
Signing in to an app
Section titled “Signing in to an app”When you sign in to an app, Locker asks which license that device should use. A license with no free device shows Replace a device: pick the device to sign out. It gets an email, and it can sign in again when a spot is free. If you hold no license and the app gives one to everyone, Continue creates it.
If an app says a key has no entries left, add the key to your account and sign in. If it says the license is already in another Locker account, sign in to that account: a license never moves by its key.
