Get free apps from Discover
Discover lists apps that developers offer to your account. Most you can add for free, and adding one puts it in your library straight away, at no cost. An app you buy appears in your library by itself.
Add a free app
Section titled “Add a free app”- Sign in at polaris.locker.
- Select Discover in the top bar. On a small screen, it is in the bar at the bottom.
- Find the app. Its card says why you can add it, for example “Free with a Polaris Locker account” or “Free trial · 14 days”.
- Select Add to library.
- When the card says In your library, select the button that reads Open and the app’s name.
To read more first, select the app’s name. Its page shows the description, screenshots and every way you can add the app. When there is more than one way, choose the way you want to add it, then select Add to library.
Some cards have no Add to library button. They show Get it on and a store name, or Get it from and the developer’s name. The developer shows these apps to everyone with a Polaris Key account, and you get them from the store or the developer’s website.
If an app cannot be added
Section titled “If an app cannot be added”- If a card says the developer stopped this offer, the offer has ended and nothing was added.
- If a link opens There’s nothing to add here, the link is out of date or the app is not offered to your account. Select Browse Discover.
- If Discover says Nothing to add right now, no developer is offering your account anything.
Check it worked
Section titled “Check it worked”The app appears in your library. A free app that needs no license shows Free to use. A free trial ends when its days run out, and your library then shows Expired.
You can take a free app that needs no license out of your library again. An app that comes with a license, such as a free trial, has no remove option. See Remove an app from your library.
Still need help?
Section titled “Still need help?”For help with an app, read Get help with an app.
