Remove an app from your library
Removing an app takes it off your library page. What else it does depends on how the app got there.
Important
Before you remove an app you added with a key, make sure you still have the key. Without it you cannot add the app back. If you lost the key, see Find a lost license key.
What happens when you remove an app
Section titled “What happens when you remove an app”If you added the app with a license key, its devices keep working. The license leaves your account and does not come back to it by itself. If no email address is tied to the license, anyone with the key can add it to their own account.
If the app is a free app that needs no license, nothing else changes. You can add it again from Discover while its developer offers it.
Removing an app does not free a device. To free one, see Manage your devices.
Synced data
Section titled “Synced data”Removing an app does not delete the settings it synced to your account. They stay until you clear them, as described in Cloud Sync, or delete your account. If you add the app again, they come back.

If there is no remove option

It also has none when the developer does not allow adding by key.
You may see this message if a removal is refused.
Check it worked
Section titled “Check it worked”The app is gone from your library, and a message says it was removed. If you held more than one license, the app stays and the message says which license was removed.
Add the app again. Use Activate license with its key. For a free app that needs no license, add it from Discover again. See Add a license with a key and Get free apps from Discover.
