Downloads and updates
Download your app
Download an app from your library at polaris.locker, which lists your apps, or from its public download page.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Sign in to your library with the email that has the license.
Download from your library
Section titled “Download from your library”- Sign in at polaris.locker and find the app.
- Select Download for macOS, Download for Windows or Download for Linux. If your license covers only an older version, the button names it, such as Download 2.4.1.
- With one file, the download starts. With more, the button opens the app’s page with a list: choose a file and select Download.
Apple silicon and Intel are for Macs with those chips. Universal runs on both, so choose it if you’re not sure.
Download on a phone
Section titled “Download on a phone”The library shows your phone’s store, such as Get it on the App Store or Get it on Google Play. If the app has only a computer version, select Email me the download. Open the link it emails you on a computer and sign in.
Other places to get the app
Section titled “Other places to get the app”- Other ways to install lists tools such as AltStore and Scoop. See Install from AltStore, F-Droid, Obtainium or Scoop.
- If a file says Get it from Steam, or names another store or the developer, your library doesn’t host it, but your license covers it. Use only the link shown next to that file in your library, if there is one. If not, ask the developer.
Use the public download page
Section titled “Use the public download page”A developer can share a page that anyone can open. Its address is exactly dl.plrs.im, then a / and a path. A look-alike such as dl.plrs.im.example.com isn’t the app’s download page.
- It leads with one button for your device, such as Download for macOS.
- Other ways to get it lists other stores, entries such as Add to AltStore, and install commands. Download from Polaris Locker lists the app’s files.
- While the developer releases a new version in stages, or has paused or stopped it, the page keeps offering the previous version.
If a download doesn’t work
Section titled “If a download doesn’t work”A file your license doesn’t cover shows Not included and a reason. A download that can’t start shows The download didn’t start and a line saying why.
