Account and privacy

Download, remove or delete your data

Your library at polaris.locker lets you download or remove information held for you, and delete your account. For what an app reads and what Polaris Locker holds, see Your data and privacy.

You can download everything from your account, or information from one app.

  1. Open Account, then Your data, to download your full account file.
  2. Open an app in your library to download a file for that app only.
  3. Select Download my data.
  4. If you see Confirm it’s you first, confirm with your passkey or an emailed code. This protects your information if you left the site signed in.

Your full account file includes your account, sign-in methods, name and pictures, passkeys, where you’ve signed in, connected apps, accepted terms, library, licenses, package access details, joined accounts, each app’s information, and activity. If the activity list is long, the file keeps recent entries and says it was shortened. An app’s file includes only information it holds for you.

Removing information from an app deletes the information Locker holds for you in that app.

  1. Open the app in your library.
  2. Select Remove my data.
  3. If you see Confirm it’s you first, confirm it.
  4. Choose whether to keep your license, then confirm.

Keeping your license keeps the app in your library. Its developer can still connect you to old records through that license. Removing the license takes it out of your library too.

A support code is a short code for one app, like K7M-4QX-9TZ. Give it to the app’s support team so they can find you without seeing your Locker account. It’s only for that app, and it opens nothing.

  1. Open the app in your library.
  2. Select Get a support code.
  3. Read the code out, or select Copy.

You keep the same code until you remove your information from that app. Then ask for a new one.

Deleting your account schedules it for erasure 14 days later. For the steps, what happens in the 14 days and how to cancel, see Delete your account.

  • Locker doesn’t publish a privacy address. Get help with an app says who to ask about your Locker account.
  • To ask what an app holds about you, such as your licenses and devices, ask the app’s developer. Ask the developer too if you want it to erase its records.
  • To erase your Locker account, see Delete your account. Deleting it doesn’t erase a developer’s own records.
