Delete your account

Delete your account to schedule it for erasure. After 14 days, Polaris Locker erases your account and its email addresses. You can cancel before then.

After 14 days, deleting your account can't be undone

It doesn’t cancel or refund anything you bought. Ask the developer or the store about that.

  • For 14 days your account stays active. You stay signed in, your licenses and devices keep working, and you can download your data or cancel.
  • Then your account is erased with its email addresses, sign-in methods, passkeys, name, picture and birth date. Locker signs you out.
  • Apps you added from the Discover page that need no license leave your library.
  • Your licenses stay with each developer. They leave your account, and you can add them again.
  • Each developer’s records show that your account was deleted, and which of its licenses you held. A developer isn’t notified. Developers keep their own records of those licenses, including any name or email they stored.
  • Locker emails every verified address on your account when you schedule the deletion, and again when the account is erased.
  • While a deletion is scheduled, you can’t join another account to this one. Cancel it first.

Locker needs a sign-in from the last 5 minutes. If yours is older, the page shows Confirm it’s you first where the step would be. Confirm with your passkey or an emailed code, and the step runs.

  1. Open the account menu and select Account.
  2. Go to Your data.
  3. Select Delete account….
  4. Read Schedule your Polaris Locker account for deletion?
  5. In the box, type your email address. The label shows the address to type.
  6. Select Schedule deletion. It stays unavailable until what you typed matches your email.

To stop before you schedule it, select Cancel.

The page shows the date your account is erased and Cancel deletion. The email’s subject is Your Polaris Locker account is scheduled for deletion.

  1. Open Account, then Your data.
  2. Select Cancel deletion. If the page shows Confirm it’s you first, confirm and the cancel runs.

The page says Deletion canceled, and you get an email with the subject Your Polaris Locker account deletion was canceled. Once the erasure has begun, it can’t be canceled.

The email’s subject is Your Polaris Locker account has been deleted. See Emails from Polaris Locker. Signing in with the same email creates a new, empty account. Licenses bought with that email can join it. To ask a developer to erase its own records, see Your data and privacy.

If you got an email with the subject Your Polaris Locker account is scheduled for deletion and you didn’t ask for it, someone may have signed in to your account or to your email. Secure your email account first, then sign in to Locker and select Cancel deletion. See Secure your account.

If you got the email Your Polaris Locker account has been deleted and didn’t ask for it, the account can’t be brought back. Sign in with the same email to create a new account.

Locker doesn’t publish a help address. Get help with an app says who to ask.
