Find a lost license key

Look for your license key where you got it. You may not need it at all.

Important

Polaris Locker does not keep your full key, so your library cannot show it again. On the app’s page, License key shows only the start of the key. Keep the copy from your email or the store.

Check whether you still need the key

If the app is already in your library, the license stays there even if you lose the key. Open the app’s page in your library to see the license and manage its devices.

On a new device, use Sign in if the app offers it. Sign in with the account that holds the license. You do not need the key.

Find the key

1. Search your email for the message you got when you bought the app. The key is in it.
2. If you bought from a store or from the developer’s website, look in the receipt or order details there.
3. Copy the whole key. It starts with pkey_.

Get a replacement key

If you cannot find the key, ask the app’s developer for a new one. Tell them the email you bought with and roughly when. Never send your full license key to anyone.

Check it worked

Activate the app with the key, or sign in. Either way the app opens. If you used the key, it can show Activated. If you signed in, it can say you are signed in. See Activate your app. To keep the license in your library, see Add a license with a key.
